“A Place Where Hope Grows – Faith’s Lodge provides a place where parents and families facing the serious illness or death of a child can retreat to reflect on the past, renew strength for the present, and build hope for the future.”

Faith’s Lodge is a place that we were able to stay for a week, the fall after River passed away. We were able to connect with 8 other couples that had lost infants. Through these couples, we found so much support and understanding. Faith’s Lodge gave us hope and inspiration to begin River’s Rally and help others having hardships. We are able to visit Faith’s Lodge on a regular basis by volunteering. We serve dinners when they have couples or families staying there.  We have met so many people that we can truly relate to, that really understand. We also volunteered at a benefit for Faith’s Lodge, Hope Rocks in 2010.

Mark & Susan Lacek’s daughter, Faith, was stillborn due to an umbilical cord accident. They wanted a place where families could go to find peace, hope, and happiness when they founded Faith’s Lodge. The doors opened in 2007 and they have served a need that is so much bigger than one can imagine. Families from all across the country have visited Faith’s Lodge as it’s a “one of a kind” place.

Mark wrote a poem to Faith as her first birthday approached that later became the song “One More Day” by Rocket Club. River’s picture is in the video, which is Rocket Club’s first single that debuted on national charts. This song is found on Hope Rocks Volume 2.
